One of the most important issues that I plan to uphold both as a candidate and hopefully, as an elected official, is transparency. I plan to be a transparent and accessible representative for the residents of Blaine. I want to be a council member that is available to all constituents when they need to get in contact with the city, and want to see changes. I will be quick to respond to emails, and phone calls to ensure that I am accountable to those I represent, and aware of the needs of the community.
I plan to do this by actively using the city newsletters as a way to draw attention to upcoming decisions as well as to clarify why decisions were made. Increased community input is something that I also plan to advocate for. I want to make sure that residents are able to help in zoning decisions and a specific way to do this would be through community meetings.
I want to be a representative for the residents of Blaine. I do not intend to be a career politician, or use this seat for political gain. My interests are in the residents of Blaine, and I hope to serve them through the position of a city council member.
If you have any questions for me, please reach out. I have been having a wonderful time hearing from all of you so far, and answering your specific concerns. I want to continue this positive outreach and make sure that I am in contact with everyone that I can.
I hope you all have a fun and safe holiday weekend.
